We offer counselling and psychotherapy services for individuals for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, chronic illness/pain, emotional eating, grief and loss, pregnancy and postpartum support, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, sleep and insomnia, stress, anger and emotion regulation, trauma and post-traumatic stress.
Our experienced counsellors utilize an integrative treatment approach which combines traditional psychotherapy with complementary and alternative methods with an emphasis on the mind, body and spirit. Working collaboratively with a therapist, you can expect to find a safe place to reflect on their own intention and motivations.

Child & Family Counselling
We offer counselling services for children and youth (ages 0-19) for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, bullying, school stress, suicidal thoughts, cutting, self-esteem, fire-setting behaviors, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, grief and loss, stress and coping, etc. We also work with children and youth who are being impacted by their parent’s separation, divorce, relationship abuse, or addictions.
Children often lack the words to express what they are feeling and may act out in ways that are concerning to their parents such as bed wetting, tantrums, nightmares, hyperactivity, social and emotional withdrawal, conflict with their peers.
Our experienced counsellors work with children and their parents, helping them build resilience by strengthening relationships and improving communication and problem-solving skills. Family counselling aims to improve overall functioning in the family belief system by promoting proactive strategies in stress management, coping mechanisms and the development of self-control techniques to promote positive behavior patterns. Family and child counselling aim to restore the wellbeing of the family as a unit.
Using age-appropriate methods such as play, art, and talk therapy, child and youth clients learn to communicate how they are feeling and find ways to relieve discomfort and worried thoughts with the help of their counsellor and parents.
With our youngest client (0-6) parental involvement in the session is required as much of the therapeutic work is on attachment and parenting support. Children (7-13) may, at the discretion of the counsellor and comfort of the client and parents, work one-on-one with a counsellor however regular parent sessions will also be beneficial and required. Youth (age 14 and up) are generally in control of their own counselling process, determining what level of involvement their parents will have and what information will be shared between parents/counsellor.
*Please note that we do not work with children when there is an open custody and access case before the courts.
Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapy
We offer hypnotherapy as a complementary method to counselling and psychotherapy for youth and adult clients (14 and up) for anxiety, sleep and chronic pain management. Hypnotherapy uses the natural state of trance to enhance the minds innate ability to change thoughts and behaviors that may be holding you back from achieving emotional wellness.
Using an Eriksonian approach, our experienced clinical counselling hypnotherapists can facilitate a deep state of relaxation that can help bring to the surface internal experiences that may be outside of conscious awareness which may be keeping you stuck in repetitive thoughts and behaviors which are no longer serving you. Interrupting the anxiety response and repetitive thought patterns while in a state of deep relaxation, the unconscious mind it more open to positive suggestions which promote a shift in emotional and behavioral responses.
Hypnotherapy can also be beneficial in enhancing concentration skills, increasing confidence and improve the quality of life when faced with adverse physical or emotional symptoms, personal triggers, big life changes or overall health and wellness.

We are pleased to offer Walk-In Counselling Clinic the send and fourth Friday of each month from 9am-3pm. Walk-in Counselling is available to individuals 10 years of age and up.
